| 21 of 22 people found the following review helpful By = Durability: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Optimus Prime (Toy) Optimus Prime is back with a sweet new look and awesome detail!This is in my opinion the best voyager version of optimus so far.I have every Optimus movie version that has been done and 100% can say this version is above all other voyager class versions.The transformation is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is minor difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.The process is actually easier on this version compared to others which makes this optimus alot more versatile for all ages.The detail as I said before is A++ all around from top to bottom,especially on his chest plate and arms looking more realistic.Optimus Prime's Mech Tech feature is a ion blaster which converts to a battle cannon.In vehicle form it can be stored behind the cab of the truck which is very conveniant.In the transforming process the only tricky part I could see was folding the arms just right which... Read more 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful A Kid's Review = Durability: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Optimus Prime (Toy) so what do i have to say about this figure? here is my opinion:- this figure is not movie accurate. - it has a fake torso. - it has the so called "truck forearms of doom." which means he has 1 wheel on both of his arms his arms and their big! -he is very tall and lanky but is out of scale with sentinel and megaton. - his truck mode is hallow and very alien or futuristic l like it though. but thats all i can complain about here are the best parts of this figure: -its meant for playability theres articulation to spare and a waist swivel! -its very muscular looking and strong just like any leader should be. -it has one of the best mechtech weapons in the whole line. -a great head sculpt and great paint apps all over. -i believe kids will love it. Read more 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By clunymph "clunymph" (NY, USA) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Optimus Prime (Toy) my son is obsessed with transformers and we needed an optimus prime. this one looks good but it doesn't transform well. all the pieces of plastic just seem to fall apart when you try to transform it. they don't break, so that's good-- but it gets really annoying pretty fast. specifically, it's the feet, head, and the silver canisters (water tanks?). I'd recommend this toy for older kids, mostly because they'll have to spend a good amount of time snapping pieces back together again. we also have a bumblebee, rachet, dirge... they all seem to fall apart way less than this optimus prime. |
