This review is from: Square Enix Batman Arkham Asylum: Play Arts Kai: Armored Batman Action Figure (Toy)
It's been a while since I've collected anything Batman. Ever since I played Batman: Arkham City last year, I wanted a great action figure to bring back memories of the game. As far as this one is concerned, I wasn't disappointed.

Remember those times when you were a kid, and you saw a toy in the store and would stare at it for almost an hour, cherishing the moment while imprinting every detail into your imagination. Well, I felt the same with this action figure, yet, I'm holding it as a giddy, full-grown man finding satisfaction with the fact that I could afford my new toy without the regret of spending $50 on an action figure.

For me, spending money on a collectible over $20 is a bit steep for a toy since it has no practical value. I always knew Japanese toys were a bit more detailed with superb craftsmanship, especially ones geared for adult collectors. I bought the 25th Anniversary Edition of Optimus Prime (named Leo Convoy in Japan) a few years ago from... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Great sculpe,but poor quality, December 8, 2012

This review is from: Square Enix Batman Arkham Asylum: Play Arts Kai: Armored Batman Action Figure (Toy)
i brought this figure and it is my first square enix figure after watching loads of videos about it and about the first wave batman from square enix too, i was amazed by the details and the sculpe both are really phenomenal, but the big problem is really the quality, when i started to pose him,his left arm pooped out of its place, and it keeps pooping out every time i try to move it, i was so disappointed really, i payed alot of money for this figure and i was expecting to have great quality not like this, this figure is not for young collectors, u can't play with it , u can only pose it with great careful for its fragile pieces, i hope square enix will handle this problem because i am willing to get the dark knight figures when they are released(batman-bane and catwoman).
if u want a reasonable batman for the money and highly detailed and poseable get this one, it cost me around 40 dollars to get it which is considered a great deal for a square enix batman"(the first batman... Read more

This review is from: Square Enix Batman Arkham Asylum: Play Arts Kai: Armored Batman Action Figure (Toy)
The first two Batman figures from Square Enix's Arkham Asylum had some issues with durability, but fortunately the second series seems to have mended those quite nicely. Armored Batman portrays Batman as he appears in the video game Arkham Asylum once he changes into his fully armored costume. He's bigger and bulkier than the standard Batman but has a fantastic and intimidating appearance. This Batman means business! Coming in somewhere around 9 inches, Armored Batman is a very large figure with lots of great articulation, interchangeable hands, and great accessories. Here's a brief look at Armored Batman:

The Facts:
Articulation: Peg/post ankles, double jointed knees, true balljointed thighs, ball jointed abs, lateral shoulder hinge, peg/post elbows, peg/post shoulders, peg/post wrists, ball jointed neck, ball jointed head, peg/post cape segments (left and right).
Accessories: 2 extra hands, batarang, grappling gun.

The Positives:
